Glass Triangles

67/365

Thanksgiving Point Art Institute

They blow glass, cut glass, make stained glass windows and glass art of all kinds. This is cut glass waiting to be turned into a masterpiece of some kind.

Two Yellow Labs

50/365

I hope you can see this clearly enough to know what is going on. The little ornament on the left side hanging on the tree is a yellow lab that we bought the first Christmas that we had our actual dog which is a yellow lab. If you look closely you can see our dog in the background sitting on his bed and his ornament "looking" at him. :)

I was trying to get something a little different than just my dog in front of our tree which was my original thought and would/will still make a good picture but I do like how this one turned out as well. A little change in perspective leads to a totally different picture than the one I originally had planned.

Saint George Bluffs

48/365

Above the city of St. George stand red rock bluffs that are full of crevices and holes of all kinds. Perfect for exploring. The small hole here overlooks part of the city. Being winter there is not much color in the city but still an interesting shot with a different perspective.

Classic Car Collection

Seems car restoration television shows are all the rage at the moment. Find old classic cars, fix them up, sell them and turn a profit. While I am sure all of that takes quite a bit of work there is something about old cars staying in their "old" condition. Vintage some would call it. I took a few shots of one mans collection. Sadly, many of the cars have been damaged by photographers who were quite careless with the posing of their clients. So if you are a photographer or a client getting your pictures done please show  respect for things when you are on a shoot.

I really enjoyed getting some of the details and looking for unique angles to keep the houses out of my backgrounds. I was able to get a few good shots. Hope you enjoy!

Christmas Lights

The lights of our Christmas tree through a mirror. I've got to keep trying this to get it to look how I want. Turned out alright though.

Day 13 Back to warmth if only for a day…..

13/365

Weather keeps changing back and forth from winter to fall every few days. It is strange but makes for some interesting photo opportunities. Because I took this photo I know that the darker blur in the background is one of my sisters and one of my best friends. Thinking about her today and hoping all goes well with things happening in her life. I thoroughly enjoy everything about her and love taking pictures and learning photography with her.

First Snow of the Season

11/365

I don't know if you are able to tell it is snowing.... but it is. I'll have to try on another snowy day for a different shot with more snow in it.

Boating Baby

My very talented photographer sister  (http://mjhepworth.blogspot.com) shot these and I love the details that she picked up here. The slippers, the little life jacket, small head, chubby legs, and the background of the boat on the lake. Makes for a really great picture! Tells much more of the story than just a head on shot.

http://mjhepworth.blogspot.com

This one is another favorite. Just the tip of the babies head as he is held trying to be kept warm. You can see a water skiier on the back of the boat... the hair blowing in the wind. Such a great shot.

My First Halloween

Along with dozens of other pictures taken at Halloween that include the full costume, trick or treating excitement and all that goes with it this shot tells a little more of the story of the day in a different way.

Little Sleeper

Dad's hand shows how small this little one really is...Their two hands so close together accentuate it. Love everything about this picture.

Snow On The Way

Snowflakes forming on my car. Interesting to look at each individual flake. They really are all different.

Winter Warmth

Our yellow lab has a thing for people. Namely my husband. He would go with him everywhere if he could. Truly mans best friend. Such a loyal pup. This dog I'm quite sure would do anything for him. As I walked around the house tonight cleaning up these two snoozed near the fire together. Made for a picturesque shot.... though neither of them were aware I took it.

Look Up

Look up....you might be surprised by what you see!

Kind of a cool shot taken at a friends wedding. The ceiling was draped with lights and sheer fabric and peacock feathers adorned some of the tables. Soooo from the right angle and over exposing a bit this is the final pic.
